Educated Nannies Tip of the Week!

Educated Nannies Tip of the Week!

Set aside some time each week to reflect on why you chose your professional path. Does your heart move you to help others? Do you have a passion for being a positive influence in the lives of children? Do you feel most at home in the presence of children? Do you wish to educate the young learners of the world? To be successful in this unique profession, your passion must burn bright and strong. Reflecting on your “why” regularly will not only help you see the bigger picture when tough days arise, but also will help you celebrate small victories in the day to day!

Educated Nannies Tip of the Week!

When a family hires a nanny to work in their home, the nanny is considered an employee of the household. The law states that if the household employee is paid more than $1,900 in a calendar year, the household employer is required to withhold and remit payroll taxes to the state and IRS. “1099ing” is considered illegal. Being informed, causes less stress and problems for all parties involved in the future.

2014 Academy Awards

2014 Academy Awards

Over the past weekend we had the pleasure of being invited to the 2014 Academy Awards gifting suite at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. The gifting suite was full of fun and innovative children’s businesses and great products. We were so honored to be part of this amazing group of standout industry professionals. During the event we had the opportunity to speak with families about our variety of services. We look forward to helping many of these awesome families find their perfect Educated Nanny!

Our Babysitting Services

Our Babysitting Services

Is it time for a date night? Have you always wanted to take a class, but you don’t have access to a babysitter? Staying at a hotel for an event and need a temporary nanny? Whatever you circumstance may be, Educated Nannies is proud to offer you access to our team of professional nannies.

Our pre-screened professional nannies are available to babysit and cover your childcare needs. All of our nannies are 21 years or older, have at least 3 years of childcare experience, and CPR and First Aid Certifications.

Here is the placement process:

  1. Contact our office during the hours of 9 am to 6 pm to schedule a temp nanny (babysitter).
  2. We listen to your needs and email you our family application which can be filled out electronically.
  3. We charge an annual membership fee of $200, which gives you access to our professional nannies.
  4. We schedule the nanny to come to your desired location.
  5. Our agency referral fee is $20 per day and the nanny is paid directly at a rate of $18.00 per hour at the end of the shift. (There is a 3 hour minimum and cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged the minimum fee.)

Please call us at 310-857-4985 to begin. We look forward to helping you!

Pop Up Parenting Resource Center

Pop Up Parenting Resource Center

We were so thrilled to be part of today’s SoCalMoms Pop Up Parenting Resource Center launch event in Beverly Hills! This is an excellent resource for parents to drop in and get any childcare or parenting related questions and concerns addressed by experts.

At the event, CleanBeeBaby offered organic cleaning services with Honest Company products, Happy Family provided an assortment of fun and healthy snacks and treats for the parent and children, and Willie Aron held an interactive performance for the little ones! BabySpace Founders were on hand to consult with parents while our Educated Nannies’ team looked after the kids in a friendly environment!

This is an ongoing resource that will “pop up” throughout Los Angeles. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for information on the next event!
