Family Syllabus: A wonderful family in Glendale is seeking a private educator for their 10-year-old Autistic son who is in 4th grade. The child’s speech and communication are what has been most impacted by having Autism and he is a visual learner. He has speech therapy daily and he is very accelerated in math. Please be able to support with comprehension. This position will be inside of a small private Catholic school in Glendale working with the child during his school hours and you will assist the teacher with his needs. Everyone on the team is vaccinated for COVID.

Ideal Candidate: Candidates who have great energy, a positive attitude, and have classroom experience will be a perfect match for this role.  A teacher who is professional, responsible, takes initiative, and comes to work with an “I can do this” attitude is ideal.  Someone who is organized and flexible to prep student work during after-school hours and weekends.  A college degree will be required for this position. The mother prefers the candidate to have a Special Education credential.

Job Synopsis: The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am-3:00 pm and is paying $80,000 per year and offering paid sick time. Candidates will receive vacations that follow the school schedule. There will be quarterly IEP meetings and goals. No driving will be required for this role.

COVID requirements: Please be taking COVID extremely seriously, wearing a mask in public, and following all CDC guidelines. The family will only consider candidates who have the COVID vaccine. The school does weekly COVID testing.

Qualifications:

Three years of professional teaching experience

CPR/first aid
