Family Syllabus: This wonderful family in Pacific Palisades is looking for a full-time nanny for their three children! They have an empathetic 10-year-old boy who loves baseball and club soccer, an 8-year-old boy who loves to swim, play baseball, and loves engaging outdoor activities, and a 5-year-old girl who loves ballet, swimming, singing, and dancing! The 8 and 5-year-old also do Tae-Kwon-Do. The boys love to wrestle together and they all enjoy quiet time to themselves. The family also has two sweet dogs and a lizard! The animals will not require any direct care from the nanny but the children will be feeding and walking the dogs with the nanny. The children all attend school during the weekdays and both parents work from inside the home. Their middle child also attends occupational therapy. They also have a family assistant and a housekeeper.
Ideal Candidate: This family’s ideal nanny is patient and a great problem solver! Someone calm and steady, fun-loving, and always ready to jump on the trampoline with the kids would be a perfect match! Someone who has strong boundaries and structure and knows how to read the room and can step in and out when needed is most important to this family. Someone warm, easy-going, and self-starter would fit right in. The family also has a home in Tahoe and would love it if their nanny was ready and willing to join them there from time to time! Please be open to other vacations as well for up to two weeks at a time with this adventurous family! Please have a perfect driving record and experience driving in LA!
Job Synopsis: A typical day with this family will include snack prep, welcoming the kids home from school, helping with homework, light dinner prep for the kids, and cleaning up afterward. The family’s housekeeper cooks dinners but the nanny will need to reheat the food for the children. Other duties may include family errands, personal assistant duties, and taking the children to after school activities or appointments. Please be active and engaging and able to check homework and prepare healthy snacks! The schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 2 pm-9 pm, and Wednesday from 12:30 pm-9 pm. The pay for this role is a range from $35 to 45/hour gross with two weeks of paid vacation and paid sick days. Overnights may occasionally be required, as will traveling for up to 2 weeks at a time. A college degree is not required for this position. A vehicle will be provided for the nanny to use during working hours.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is open to both vaccinated and unvaccinated candidates, but would prefer a vaccinated candidate. The annual flu shot is also required, along with up to date Tdap and MMR.
