Laurel Canyon: Full-Time Dog Loving Infant/Toddler Nanny *Position Filled*

Family Syllabus: A fantastic, hardworking family in Laurel Canyon is looking for an active, detail-oriented nanny to join them in caring for their two young boys, ages 2.5 years old and 4 months. Their oldest child will be attending school two mornings a week. He is a playful, imaginative, affectionate sweetie pie, who loves being an older brother! Their youngest is an observant, smiley bundle of joy who is ready to learn about his world and is growing everyday. They are seeking a nanny who has experience working with multiples, is attentive, engaging, and excited to bring fun age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity and learning for the boys. Both parents work from home and the family likes to travel for up to 1 week at a time. Please love animals as the family has a dog and may occasionally ask the nanny to help with walks.   Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate is a nanny who has extensive infant and toddler experience and is well-versed in milestones and early childhood development. A nanny who is excited to create stimulating, education promoting, age appropriate activities for the boys is essential. Nannies who have a fun and playful side, love to engage the children with indoor and outdoor activities, reading, games, and are active, will be a great fit! This family would love a nanny who is detail-oriented when it comes to tidying the children’s areas, proactive, able to sense and take care of needs before they arise and willing to help out with errands on occasions. Nannies who enjoy educational activities and are willing to help with tutoring down the road are encouraged to apply. A nanny must be able to swim as the family does have a pool. A college degree is preferred but not required. Please have a reliable vehicle, a clean driving record and be happy to take the children to the park and other activities. The family is open to considering a nanny vehicle for the perfect fit.   Job Synopsis:  Other responsibilities for this position include cleaning and general upkeep and tidiness of the children’s area, toys, and handling children’s laundry and dishes, taking out diaper trash, alerting the family when something is low and needs to be ordered, and preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children. The family has a housekeeper that comes once a week to do deep cleaning. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm. This role is paying $30-$40/hour gross and is offering paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick days and a contribution towards health insurance. Occasional overnights and travel of up to 1 week at a time both domestically and internationally will be required for this position, please be passport ready!
