Family Syllabus: This sweet family of four located in New York is looking for a local rockstar family assistant to join their family! They have a 5-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. Their son loves art, music, and playing outdoors. Their daughter loves to read and loves art. She is in piano and violin lessons, ballet, pottery class, and a weekend art class she attends with her girlfriends. The children attend school nearby from 8:30-3 pm. The parents work outside of the home and they also have two housekeepers who will handle all the deep cleaning, but would love for the nannies to tidy up after their children throughout the day. They also have a sweet Goldendoodle so please be comfortable with dogs!
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is educated, experienced, proactive, active, engaging, and excellent at organization. Be ready to spend your days assisting the family while the children are at school. Your afternoons will consist of picking the children up from school, taking their children to after-school activities, helping with the dog, and helping the children with school projects and homework. A family assistant who is comfortable and well-versed in the developmental stages of childhood gets down on the ground to play, uses gentle parenting, and truly has a passion for children is the ideal match. The perfect family assistant will be with the family for the long term! The family assistant will be a great communicator and will work as a team with the parents. A nanny that is fluent in Italian and/or Spanish and can teach the children would be a must!
Job Synopsis: Duties related but not limited to this position will include switching wardrobes out with every season, cleaning the children’s play areas, picking up the dry cleaning and other household errands, packing and unpacking for trips, stocking arts and crafts, working on household projects, and taking the children to their after school activities. This is a live-out position. The schedule for this role will be Tuesday-Friday 3 pm – 8 pm with flexibility for Saturdays and frequent travel. This will be a guarantee of 40 hours. The rate for this role is $40-45/hour gross plus overtime with benefits such as paid health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and sick days. The expected annual salary is around $125k/year. The family is open to a housing stipend for the right fit. Overnights and travel will be required for up to 3 weeks at a time! Flexibility to travel with the family for up to a month at a time is required for this position. This will be both domestic and international trips. A nanny vehicle will be provided during this position.
