Family Syllabus: A down-to-earth Santa Monica family of four is seeking a warm and engaging Nanny/Family Assistant to join their team! Both parents work outside of the home, and they are searching for a true team player to support with tasks and the mental load. Their 6-year-old creative daughter thrives on imaginative play and has the best sense of humor. While their curious 2-year-old is running around and constantly exploring his ever-expanding world. Their son attends preschool from 8 am to 5 pm, and their daughter enjoys both school and an after-school program from 7:45 am to 6 pm. Their daughter is enjoying soccer and can’t wait for the next new sport to start. She is currently learning Mandarin at her school and loves to dance. The family also has a weekly housekeeper who will handle all of the deep cleaning for the home.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is a highly flexible and proactive individual with excellent organizational skills. This role involves assisting the family with various tasks and actively engaging with the children. The ideal nanny/family assistant will be comfortable and confident working with toddlers and young elementary-aged children, possessing a deep understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy. They should be enthusiastic about interacting with children at their level, communicating with kindness and respect, using gentle parenting techniques, and fostering a nurturing environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in calendaring, an excellent communicator, and a strong team player with parents. A confident and resourceful individual with the ability to conduct internet research and organize activities, family vacations, and the home will be a valuable asset to this family. The family values a family assistant who takes their job seriously, exudes calm and confidence, and is super organized. Please have exceptional attention to detail and anticipate needs.
Job Synopsis: This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to this sweet family! Responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including stocking the pantry, grocery shopping, preparing simple nutritious lunches and dinners, ensuring a clean and safe play environment for the children, managing their laundry, handling household errands such as dry cleaning pickup, assisting with household projects, and providing reliable transportation to after-school activities. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday, 10:30 am to 9:00 pm, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week and the flexibility to potentially work weekend days and date nights. The rate for this role is $40-$45/hour gross with benefits including a $500 medical stipend, 401k, a cell phone stipend, 2 weeks of paid vacation, paid holidays, and sick days.

Qualifications:
Five years of professional nanny experience
2 years of family assistant experience
CPR/first aid certification
