Family Syllabus: A kind and loving family in Aliso Viejo is looking for a thoughtful and flexible full-time or part-time nanny to care for their sweet and curious 16-month-old daughter. They are looking forward to having a nanny who has a positive attitude, is honest, and works with integrity. Someone who loves to be creative and can support their daughter with age-appropriate development milestones. Their family will thrive with a nanny who is knowledgeable of respectful parenting and enjoys the teachings of Janet Lansbury and Magda Gerber. A nanny who is compassionate communicates well, and loves the infant to toddler transitional age will thrive in this role. Mom and dad will both be in the home but dad spends most of the day in his Zoom cave. Please be comfortable with pets as the family has a cat.
Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is highly confident in their childcare abilities, has a background in child development, and is a great problem solver. Someone who is progressive, inclusive, aware, and compassionate will be a great match for this family! They would love a college-educated nanny that is familiar with “respectful parenting”, as this approach to learning would be aligned with the family’s current philosophies. A nanny who is comfortable narrating, getting down on the child’s level, and validating the child’s feelings and emotions is essential. A highly dependable, nurturing nanny who works with integrity, and is easy-going will fit right in well. The family would love a bilingual nanny that could teach their daughter another language but this is not a requirement. A college degree is required for this position. The family will provide a nanny vehicle while on the job, so please be a safe driver. Please also be a confident swimmer and love pets!
Job Synopsis: Please be open to tidying up the children’s areas, cleaning up after mealtimes, doing children’s laundry, and helping out with light household child-related tasks. The schedule for this position is part-time Monday through Friday 1-7 pm or the family will guarantee 40 hours per week (full-time hours) if you are flexible to work weekends as well. This role is paying $30-$35/hour gross and is offering 2 weeks paid vacation, and 5 paid sick days. No travel or overnights will be required for this position.
