Family Syllabus: A hard-working and creative family of five living in Bel Air is seeking a nanny with special needs experience for their three dynamic children who are 13, 11, and 9. Their oldest daughter has ADHD, sensory processing disorder and needs extra support with executive functioning. The two younger children are self-sufficient and attend a private school in Los Angeles. The family leads a very busy and active lifestyle, so it is essential that the candidate has previously used their skills to care for multiple children in a variety of settings. A nanny who takes initiative has impeccable manners, respects boundaries, and has a keen sense of common sense would absolutely delight this family!
Ideal Candidate: The best candidate for this position is an educated nanny who feels confident supporting the children’s schoolwork, tutoring when necessary, hiring tutors, inspiring creativity, and fostering a love for learning. A kind and caring nanny that upholds appropriate boundaries is willing to keep things tidy and has a friendly demeanor with the children will win this family over! Please provide outstanding references with children in elementary and junior high. Please be passport-ready as they will need someone who is able to travel with the family for up to three weeks at a time domestically and internationally. The children will thrive alongside a caregiver who is fun-loving and friendly while being able to provide structure and positive boundaries. The family has other staff in the home and looks forward to finding a nanny who can become an integral member of the team. The family will only consider candidates who have at least 3 years of full-time experience with special needs children ages 10-15. You do not need to have experience working in a private household, but this is preferred.
Job Synopsis: The schedule for this amazing opportunity will be Monday -Friday from 10/11 am until 7 pm. No overnights will not be required however, planned travel with the family will be part of the position. The hourly rate for this position is $60-75/hour gross with paid vacation and paid sick days.
