Family Syllabus: A wonderful family in Brentwood Hills who lives in a beautiful home is looking for a warm, positive nanny to help care for their two inquisitive children, ages 3.5 years and 13 months. Their bright daughter is super verbal, attends preschool in the mornings and she is learning letters, loves imaginary play, read, and all things Disney. Their son is home and busy learning everything about the world around him. He is good-natured, a wonderful napper, and loves to eat with his cutie pie 8 teeth. The family enjoys having grandparents and other relatives visit and stay with them a few times per year. They also have a home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where they like to spend around 10 weeks a year. The housekeeper typically travels with the family to Colorado, but they would like a nanny who is open to traveling as well. Both parents work in and out of the home and they like to do additional travel 3-5 weeks per year domestically and internationally to such places as Mexico and Europe. They are a non-smoking household that leads an active lifestyle and they have a swimming pool at their home.
Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate is a professional career travel nanny who is warm, loves to swim, has experience with toddlers and going through developmental milestones, and understands early childhood development. Nannies who are discreet, able to lovingly set boundaries, enjoy outings, and can read a room will be a perfect match for this home. The family does have a full-time housekeeper/cook but would like a nanny who is willing to pitch in if needed with things like household laundry, break down boxes, cooking, etc. For this family, flexibility is key. Nannies who are looking to grow with a family and would enjoy helping with schoolwork in the future are encouraged to apply. Please have a clean and reliable vehicle that you are willing to transport the children in. The family is open to providing a nanny vehicle as well if need be. A college degree is not required for this role.
Job Synopsis: This position is a dynamic one that is filled with daytime shifts, overnights, traveling, personal assistant work. Additional duties for this position include light kitchen/family area tidying, dishes, and trash. The nanny will be responsible for childrens’ laundry, tidying play areas, keeping toys organized, picking up childrens’ rooms, etc. The schedule for this position is primarily Monday through Friday from 8 am – 5 pm with occasional date nights. This role is paying $30-40/hour gross DOE plus overtime. The family will guarantee 40 hours a week, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and a medical stipend. Occasional overnights and travel of up to two weeks will be required for this position. When the family travels without the nanny they would like the nanny to handle airport drop off/pick up, help open/close the home, take care of the trash, stock groceries for their return, do light household assisting/errands, oversee vendors, organize the pantry, drop off packages, etc. Please be open to live-in with kids for the weekend while parents are away a couple of times a year. The parents fly commercially and private.
