TEAM PLAYER | SPECIAL NEEDS | RELIABLE
Do you have experience as a behaviorist or working with children who have special needs? Are you positive, kind, patient, sharp, and savvy? Would you love to be a part of a loving family long-term? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you!
Family Syllabus: A wonderful high profile family is looking for an amazing nanny for their two teenage children. They have a 14-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter. Both children have ADHD and will need a supportive, patient nanny to assist them with any homework and encourage their continued love of reading. The children will both be attending school from 8/8:30 am-3:00 pm during the week. Mom and dad will be working inside of the home and they need a full-charge nanny. Please be comfortable with pets as the family has a dog and the nanny may be responsible for occasional walks and feeding.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive nanny who is willing to learn, has great boundaries with grit and grace who feels confident supporting the children’s schoolwork, fostering a love for learning, and has a passion for reading. The children do have several tutors that they will be working with, but they would like their nanny to also be able to support any educational needs and help keep the children engaged in electronic free activities. The children also have a nanny who will be caring for them on the weekends as well as other household staff so an ability to collaborate is essential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, a total team player, kind, reliable, and has great communication skills. Please be a safe swimmer as they have a pool and have a clean and reliable vehicle as driving is required.
Job Synopsis: The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday from 2:00 pm-9:00 pm. This role is paying $30-$35/hour gross and will be offering 2 weeks of paid vacation, 6 paid sick days, paid holidays, and a $200 monthly medical stipend. Additional duties will include light housekeeping, help with dishes, children’s laundry on occasion, running errands, and some basic cooking. Please be comfortable with traveling as there may be occasions where the nanny will travel with the family up to one week at a time and some occasional overnights are needed. A college degree is preferred, but not required.
