Family Syllabus: This wonderful family in Santa Monica is looking for a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant for their two children! They have an 11-year-old son who loves tennis, baseball, and basketball. He is currently part of a travel basketball team and loves a good game of 1v1. Their 8-year-old daughter loves theater, arts and crafts, and basketball! The family has a sweet 3-year-old dog that will need daily walks and feedings, so please be comfortable with dogs. The children attend school during the weekdays, and both parents work from inside the home. They also have a weekly housekeeper to handle all of the deep cleaning.
Ideal Candidate: This family is seeking an active and resourceful Family Assistant who can seamlessly integrate into their busy household. The ideal candidate is a fun-loving individual who isn’t afraid to jump in the pool and swim with the kids or go one-on-one with their son in a game of basketball! They value someone with strong boundaries and structure who also knows how to read the room, stepping in and out as needed. An energetic, organized, and proactive personality will fit right in. A nanny who is comfortable running errands, setting a weekly menu, grocery shopping, meal preparation (including prepping lunches for the children and dinner for the family), light tidying, dishes, pet care, and maintaining the children’s laundry is a must. A crucial aspect of this role is children’s support, encompassing homework help and assisting with school projects. Driving the children home from school and to all of their extracurricular activities is a must. The ideal candidate must have a perfect driving record and experience driving in Los Angeles. A family assistant who is confident in setting up their home and keeping things organized is a must. A nanny who is comfortable caring for animals is also essential.
Job Synopsis: A typical day with this family will include grocery shopping, meal prep, picking up the children from school, helping with homework, prepping snacks, cooking dinner, and cleaning up afterward. Other duties may include family errands, tidying, organizing, and taking the children to after-school activities or appointments. Please enjoy preparing weekly menus and basic healthy meals for the entire family! The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 12 pm-8 pm, with flexibility to stay later on occasion. This role is paying $40-45/hour gross with two weeks of paid vacation, paid sick days, and medical insurance. Overnights may occasionally be required. A clean driving record and a reliable and safe vehicle are required for this role.
