Family Syllabus: A sweet family of four is looking for a Nanny to join their family team! The family lives just a few short blocks away from the ocean in beautiful Corona Del Mar! Their 1.5-year-old and 3.5-year-old boys are active, verbal, and expressive. The boys enjoy playing with trucks, airplanes, and scootering outside. They love to play together outside and explore the beautiful surroundings. They would love a nanny to bring fun, creative arts and craft activities for them to enjoy, while also fostering some independent play. Dad works primarily outside of the home while Mom is able to work both inside and outside of the home. Their oldest child attends a preschool nearby Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am-1 pm. This family has a large dog, so please be comfortable with animals.
Ideal Candidate: This family is seeking a warm and passionate nanny who is also active and who is knowledgeable in child-development. A nanny who is fun-loving, energetic, and highly organized is a must. The ideal candidate is incredibly flexible and proactive, and believes no job is too big or too small. Days will be filled with active play, engaging activities tailored to each child’s developmental stage. These hands-on parents seek a nanny who is comfortable collaborating with them to set clear expectations and boundaries. Please be confident caring for toddlers and preschoolers. A nanny who has experience potty training would be a great asset with their 1.5 year old starting to show interest in this big milestone. Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential, as this family believes in working together as a team to provide the best possible care for their children. While a college degree is not required, a deep understanding in child development and appropriate milestones is. A nanny who is fluent in English and a second language would be a great bonus!
Job Synopsis: Duties related to this position will include simple meal prep, cleaning the children’s play areas, taking care of the children’s laundry, organizing, driving the children to and from school and other activities. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:30 am-5pm with the flexibility to work date nights, longer days, and traveling with the family both domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at a time. The rate for this role is $40-45/hour gross with benefits such as 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, holidays, health insurance, and a 401k. A nanny vehicle will not be provided, however, the family will provide car seats and proper mileage reimbursement.
