Family Syllabus: These sweet first-time parents in Rancho Santa Fe are looking for a nurturing nanny to grow with their family for years to come. They have a 6-week-old son who has an incredible NCS, currently setting him up for sleep and feeding success! They are looking for someone who can seamlessly transition in as their NCS finishes her time with them. Both parents are home, and they would love a professional who is comfortable collaborating with them, as they are very hands-on parents. They have a weekly housekeeper who handles the deep cleaning; however, they would like a true team player who is open to working together to keep the home running smoothly and knows that this housekeeper is a valued member of their team. The family also has two lovable labs who think they’re part of the welcome committee! They’re sweet, rambunctious, and full of energy, so you’ll want to be comfortable and experienced around big, bouncy pups, keeping things safe, and giving them a little TLC along the way.
Ideal Candidate: This family is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative nanny who values a team-oriented approach to childcare and shares their parenting philosophy. They value a calm, nurturing environment where their son feels secure, loved, and understood. They would like a nanny who responds to his needs promptly and with patience. They believe combining warmth and connection with structure and guidance is the foundation of healthy development. As he grows, they want to approach toddlerhood the same way. They would like to see behavior as communication, setting clear and consistent boundaries with empathy, and helping him learn to navigate those big toddler feelings. A nanny who can read his cues with gentle yet firm redirection, supporting learning through play, exploration, and connection, would be the perfect fit! Job Synopsis: Spend your day outdoors at their beautiful home, which includes acres of land, a tennis court, and a swimming pool! Duties related to this position will include maintaining feeding and sleeping routines, tracking his schedule, cleaning and organizing his room and related baby items, and taking care of his laundry. Please be confident in creating engaging age-appropriate activities that foster language, social, and motor development. As he grows, supporting him with potty training, coordinating, and driving to and from playdates, appointments, and classes. The family has a pool, and swimming safety is important. The schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust the schedule, and this may include weekends. They would like to hire someone extremely flexible! Overnights and traveling with the family will be requested. The rate for this role is $40-50/hour gross with benefits such as paid time off, holidays, and sick days, as well as a health care stipend between $400-500/month. A clean driving record and a reliable, safe vehicle are required for this position.
Vaccination Requirements: The family requires a nanny who has received COVID shots and boosters, as well as the flu shot, MMR, and Tdap vaccine.
