Family Syllabus: This sweet family of five in Pasadena, CA, is looking for a Nanny/ Family Assistant to join the team! They have a 15-year-old son, a 12-year-old daughter, and a sweet one-year-old toddler girl. The parents occasionally work from inside the home, and they have a housekeeper who comes during the week. The children attend a school nearby from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They have two adorable pugs, so please be a dog lover! The parents are starting to sleep train their daughter, so they will need someone incredibly patient and tolerant of this process, as she has been contact napping and co-sleeping for the past year.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is super flexible, proactive, caring, and excellent at organization. Please be fun, nurturing, and open to riding rollercoasters at theme parks with the big kids! Be ready to spend your days assisting the family and caring for their toddler. Your afternoons will consist of picking the children up from school, taking their daughter to dance, helping with the dogs, taking the older two children to other extracurricular activities, or staying home with the toddler so mom and dad can take the big kids to their activities. A nanny who is comfortable with toddlers, well-versed in the developmental stages of childhood, gets down on the ground to play, uses gentle parenting, and truly has a passion for children is the ideal match. This perfect nanny will be a great communicator and work with the parents as a team. A nanny who is comfortable helping the two older children with homework and other related school projects would be the perfect candidate. Please be a confident swimmer, as this family has a pool.
Job Synopsis:Get ready to support two busy parents with all things family-related, including stocking the pantry, basic food prep, and assisting mom with making dinner, snacks, and lunches for the kids. Other duties include cleaning the children’s play areas, taking care of the children’s laundry, picking up the dry cleaning, and other household errands, working on household projects, and taking the children to their after-school activities. Bonus if you like to cook! The schedule for this position guarantees 40 hours of work, Monday through Friday, from 11 am to 7 pm, with flexibility to work some Saturdays and stay late on select evenings. The rate for this role is $40-$45/hour gross, with benefits including paid health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and sick days.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is up to date on all immunizations, COVID boosters, and the annual flu shot.
