Family Syllabus: A vibrant family of four is seeking a loving and caring individual to join their family as a Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant. This role requires someone who prioritizes the safety and well-being of their children above all else. While caring for the children, your primary focus should be on them, minimizing distractions from phones or screens. The family has 2 energetic boys ages 2.5 and 5. The boys have a wonderful bond and truly enjoy engaging with each other. They are very bright and have a fun and cheeky side to them. Their 5-year-old loves to build with Legos and Magnatiles. He is very curious on how things works and loves to explore. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall and attending school from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Their 2.5-year-old is adventurous and fearless. He is active and already showing quite the athletic side. He will be attending preschool from 9 am – 12 pm Monday through Friday.
Ideal Candidate: The family is looking for someone who has prior experience caring for multiple boys and possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely proactive, organized, and responsible, with a proven track record of punctuality and a commitment to their responsibilities. This position requires a deep understanding of gentle parenting, acknowledging their feelings and speaking with them at their level, and redirecting them when needed. You should be someone the children both care about and respect. A nanny who can provide a safe and nurturing environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries will be the perfect fit. Strong communication skills with both the parents and the children are crucial, fostering an atmosphere of kindness, transparency, and honesty.
The ideal candidate is extremely familiar and comfortable with the city. A nanny who can navigate the area and is confident walking in all the different types of weather New York likes to throw at them. A nanny who is proactive and attentive to detail, and who is able to plan engaging activities for the children, schedule playdates, and take initiative in various aspects of their family life will be essential. The ideal candidate will be able to organize closets, changing out clothing for each season and making sure the family has what is needed. A nanny who loves to cook and is excellent at meal prep for the entire family is not required but would be a true gift. A nanny who is a team player and is ready to help maintain their home in an organized and peaceful manner, would be the perfect fit.
Job Synopsis: This role will involve light household duties, such as meal preparation for the children and assistance with meal prep or cooking for the parents, children’s laundry, organizing, maintaining the family calendar, running errands for the family, and making sure the backpacks are ready to go for the next day. This is a live-out position. The schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday 12 – 8 pm with the flexibility to come in earlier and stay later, and a guarantee of 40 hours per week. The rate for this role is $40-45/hour gross plus overtime with benefits such as paid time off, holidays, sick days, and a health insurance stipend.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is up to date on the standard immunizations and the seasonal FLU vaccines.
Roll Call: This position will start September 1, 2025!
Qualifications:
Five years of professional nanny experience
Comfortable with local transportation services
CPR/first aid certification
Excellent references
