Family Syllabus: This kind family of four, relocating from the Midwest to Los Angeles, is looking for a creative nanny to care for their 10-month-old and almost 4-year-old sons. Their older son attends preschool, and he’s a deep-feeling, super-verbal child who loves trucks, imaginative play, and building. He responds well to nannies who speak with him as a whole-brained child. The majority of the care will be for their younger son, who is pulling himself and will be walking very soon! He has a big personality, is very jolly, and loves to laugh. He loves to go on walks, and he learns quickly. They use the soothing ladder for their sleep conditioning with their baby. They believe in secure attachment. Mom and Dad are involved parents, and they work inside and outside of the home. They are truly looking for their modern-day Mary Poppins who is highly experienced, creative, warm, patient, and energetic! The family appreciates punctuality and reliability. They would like a nanny who feels like family and can grow with their family, while maintaining professional boundaries.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal nanny for this family is a caring, knowledgeable individual passionate about child development. They’re looking for a nanny who has experience with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who enjoys caring for these age groups of children. A nanny who can create engaging, age-appropriate activities while also sticking to routines would be a great fit. The family values a nanny who is proactive and can take initiative, and communicates professionally! A nanny who knows Los Angeles well, can give fun suggestions for their family, and can take the children on adventures would be a dream. Additionally, a nanny who can maintain a clean and tidy environment and occasionally run errands to the grocery store and Target would be ideal. A college degree and a strong understanding of child development are preferred, but they are open to candidates with longevity and professionalism. Please be water safe and able to swim.
