Family Syllabus: An educationally conscious and forward-thinking down to earth family located in Hillsborough, CA (94010) is seeking a highly qualified private educator/nanny to help home school and care for their three children ages 8, 6, and 4. The children were previously in a Japanese immersion/Montessori private school and have continued this educational approach at home. The children are artistic, inquisitive, full of life, and love to learn. The family is looking for a skilled educator who can make sure the kids are getting individual academic attention so that they can make time for fun. The family loves making crafts, baking, hiking and hopes to incorporate these and other activities into their lives again! A candidate who loves to swim and is pet friendly is ideal as the family has a pool and a large, affectionate dog. Both parents are currently working from home and the family likes to travel 1-2 weeks at a time.
Ideal Candidate: The family’s ideal candidate is creative, down-to-earth, collaborative, thoughtful, has a sensitivity to the experience of others, and has the ability to express themselves confidently. An educator who encourages indoor and outdoor play comes prepared with educational, fun activities and crafts and enjoys reading to the children would be a welcome addition to their team. They are looking for a confident, outdoorsy, experienced educator who has strong teaching skills and curiosity for learning and growing with elementary-age students. A candidate with a strong interest in arts, science, and social/cultural learning is a priority for them. Communication and organization will be key in this position as well as maintaining logs for parents and teachers and helping with homework. This position requires a college degree preferably with a focus on elementary education. The family’s preference is a candidate that has current up-to-date teaching credentials. This is a nationwide search for the top candidates.
Job Synopsis: The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. This role is paying $40-$80/hour gross DOE and is offering paid sick time, paid vacation, paid holidays, and a travel stipend. Travel of 1-2 weeks at a time will be required as the family will take the private educator/nanny with them. Other duties for this position include carpooling or driving the children to activities, or playdates, helping the family/staff set and clear table for lunches, and running errands relating to the children such as getting supplies for projects relating to the school. The family is open to helping with relocation costs.

Qualifications:
Three years of professional nanny experience
Two years of teaching experience
College Degree Required
CPR/first aid certification
