Family Syllabus: A dynamic family in Rancho Santa Fe is looking for a modern-day Mary Poppins to join their team! They have a toddler who attends preschool and a dog who will also need some walks and care occasionally. This active family has two homes, where the nanny will be full-time with the family while they are in Rancho Santa Fe and part-time while the family travels to Lake Tahoe. Both parents occasionally work from home, and they lead a very busy lifestyle. They have a housekeeper who handles the deep cleaning and beautiful pools at both homes.

The ideal candidate is a type A, organized, proactive, and polished professional with a deep understanding of child development and a true passion for their career. Days will be focused on engaging their child in active and educational play that supports her developmental milestones. The family practices gentle parenting and is looking for a nanny who can partner with them to provide consistent, loving care and clear boundaries. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this family believes in working together to provide the best possible environment for their child. The ideal candidate is easy to be around and knows how to read a room well. Please bring a playful and safe energy to their home! A college degree is required for this position.
Job Synopsis: Duties related to this position will include food prep, cleaning their toddler’s room and play areas, taking care of their child’s laundry, and driving to and from school and other activities. The schedule ranges from 4 hours per day to 12 hours per day, and it will change throughout the year. They will guarantee 40 hours per week while in Rancho Santa Fe, with a starting schedule of Mondays: 1:30-5 pm, Tuesdays: 6:30 am-5 pm, Wednesdays: 11:45 am-5 pm, Thursdays: 9 am-7 pm, Fridays: 1:30 pm-5 pm, with flexibility to work occasional weekends. The family is very organized, and they know their schedules far in advance and which home they will be spending time at. The family travels to their second home in Lake Tahoe from June to September and from December to January. While the family travels, they would like the nanny to look over their home in Rancho Santa Fe. The schedule would drop down to 10 hours per week during these months. The rate for this role is $40-50/hour gross plus overtime with benefits such as paid time off, holidays, and sick days. A clean driving record and a reliable vehicle are required for this position. The family is open to a nationwide search. The nanny will need to relocate to San Diego, and the family will offer a relocation package.
Vaccination Requirements: The family requires a nanny who has received the Tdap, as well as the annual flu shot.
