A close-knit cheerful family in La Canada is looking for a full-time nanny/educator to help care for their three children ages 9, 8, and 5. All three children have transitioned to virtual learning for this upcoming school year. The family is excited to hire someone that can help the children with remote learning, work closely with the school and family, and enhance the children’s academic and learning skills. Please note the family is liberal and pro-vaccinations and they would like a nanny who aligns with this.
Organizational skills, being highly proactive and reliable, with a safety-minded approach to caring for children is required. Nannies that enjoy engaging children in their interests, love to swim, have a positive attitude, and can understand the dynamics of caring for their 2 daughters and son would be great. Someone that can incorporate activities that involve music and art throughout the day would be ideal, as this family loves to seek out new cultural opportunities as often as they can!
This position would be great for experienced candidates who enjoy working with multiple children and are passionate about children’s education. Duties include overseeing children’s learning, children’s laundry, ensuring that school and play spaces are cleaned, as well as keeping bedrooms organized. Occasional meal prep and keeping the kitchen tidy would be great. Please be open to helping with running errands or personal assisting tasks. Please be comfortable around pets, as the family has an adorable Goldendoodle.
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday from 11-7 pm. The children will be attending virtual lessons from 12-3 pm. Occasional overnights might be required, but no travel will be necessary. The hourly rate will be $35-45/hour gross with paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid holidays. A college degree is required and the parents would prefer a private educator with a CA teaching credential. This wonderful opportunity starts on September 1!
