Family Syllabus: An optimistic and hard-working growing family of three in Laguna Niguel is looking for an upbeat and knowledgeable live-in or live-out nanny to join and support their busy household. The family currently has an adorable two-year-old boy and is expecting a new bundle of joy in February 2021. At this time, mom works from home, and dad works outside of the home. The family is being extremely conscientious with COVID and are hoping to find a candidate who is doing the same and believes in science and vaccines.
Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate is a career nanny with extensive experience with newborns and toddlers. They are looking for someone who is highly passionate about providing support and structure in their home and has an in-depth understanding of infant/toddler milestones and development. A nanny that cannot only balance two children but provide a safe and loving environment while keeping them engaged and stimulated will be required. Key personality traits for candidates to thrive in this role will include being highly proactive, physically energetic, compassionate, and patient. This family highly values using positive reinforcement when disciplining, so someone that can align with their discipline strategies and be kind, yet firm would thrive in this role. Only extremely strong swimmers and safe drivers will be considered for this position. The family will need help with light errands and personal assistance from time to time. Please be comfortable around pets as the family has a loving eight-pound poodle that will need to be fed and let out a couple of times daily. A college degree is preferred, but not required. The ideal nanny speaks Spanish, but this is not a requirement.
Job Synopsis: Additional duties include meal planning, preparing basic healthy meals, cleaning up after themselves and the children, helping with laundry if time permits, changing out diaper pails, sterilizing bottles and toys, and other miscellaneous duties that may be necessary. The schedule for this position will be from 8 am to 6 pm (50 hours per week) Please be flexible with your schedule as the family would like help occasionally with overnights and would possibly require some travel in the future for 1 to 2 weeks at a time. Please be passport ready, but if you prefer not to travel, please mention this to us as the family doesn’t want this to be a deal-breaker. The rate for this position will be $30-35/hour gross plus overtime with paid vacation, paid sick time, and a medical contribution. A nanny vehicle is provided.
COVID Requirements: The family is okay with interactions with masks outdoors. They do Covid test and will provide PPE if need be. The family does not require mask wearing currently inside of their home. However, they will most likely require a mask when their newborn arrives for a few months. Their doctor recommends the Tdap, MMR, Flu and the Covid vaccine when it comes out and they would like a nanny to be aligned with this. The family will pay for all vaccines.
