Family Syllabus: A wonderful family of 3, located in Laurel Canyon, is looking for their dream nanny to join their family! They have an adventurous, creative, and sweet 4-year-old son who loves to use his imagination to build rocket ships, dig in the dirt, and explore outdoors! Their son is in school M, T, Th, F from 9 am – 12 pm and W from 9 am – 3 pm. Dad is at home and mom works both inside and outside of the home. In the future the family may also be getting a small to medium hypoallergenic dog, so please love dogs!

 Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is easy-going, flexible, considerate, and knowledgeable in child development, as the family is looking to incorporate developmental activities into their child’s day. Someone who is interactive, creative, and loves the outdoors will thrive in this role! A nanny who is hands-on, thoughtful and comfortable caring for preschool-age children is essential. Someone who is professional and understands family/work boundaries. A nanny who brings happiness to the home and has excellent communication is very important in this role. A nanny who is bilingual and can speak Spanish for their son is a must! Please be a strong swimmer, as the family has a pool and the son will want a nanny who can swim with him. A college degree is preferred, but not required. Please be a safe driver, with a clean and reliable vehicle that will be used to transport the child to activities.

 Job Synopsis:  The family would like help with light housekeeping related to the child such as children’s laundry, organizing the child’s room, meal prep for the child, washing dishes, and tidying up the kitchen after meals. It would be ideal if they were open to performing personal assistant duties such as running errands and grocery shopping. There will be occasional overnights and travel if the family books a job out of California so please be passport ready! The schedule is Monday – Friday, for 8 – 12 hours a day with a guarantee of 40 hours per week. Some weeks may be 40 hours and some weeks may be 60 hours. Hours are typically between 11 am – 7 pm. Please be flexible. This role is paying $25-$30/hour gross and offers 2 weeks paid vacation (one week selected by family, one week selected by nanny), paid sick days, and a $150 medical stipend.

 COVID requirements: Please be taking COVID seriously, wearing a mask in public, and following all CDC guidelines. The family is requiring a nanny who is vaccinated.

Roll Call: This great opportunity starts anytime between August 1-September 1.

Three years of professional nanny experience

Fluent in Spanish and English

CPR/first aid

Excellent references

Clean reliable vehicle
