Mar Vista: Full-Time Nanny *Position Filled*

Family Syllabus: A creative and fun family of four, located in Mar Vista, is looking for their all-star nanny! This loving family has two children ages 4 and 1 years old. These children are sweet,  joyful, and active! Their one-year-old is very active, communicative, and very happy and their 4 year old is curious, high energy, expressive, and sensitive! Both children love to be engaged, listen to music, and are overall great children! Mom works from home, but at times can be working outside of the home. Dad works from home occasionally. Their older child attends school from 8:30 am – 3 pm, but the school does take frequent days off. The family also has a friendly cat.

Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is highly confident in their childcare abilities, has a background in child development, and is a great problem solver. Someone who is mellow, even-keeled, and easy-going will fit right in with this family. Nannies that have experience working with multiple children at one time would be required for this family. Someone who is progressive, inclusive, aware, and compassionate will be a great match for this family! They would love a college-educated nanny that is familiar with RIE and “respectful parenting”,  as this approach to learning would be aligned with the family’s current philosophies. Someone that has a go-getter attitude, is highly reliable, and proactive will thrive in this role. A nanny who is creative, kind yet firm, active, and energetic will be key for this position! The family has a beautiful and magical backyard area for you and the children to explore and have fun outdoor adventures!  Their older child has an autoimmune condition so being attentive, COVID cautious,  and staying on top of protocols that are in place is a must! Please have a clean and reliable vehicle and be a safe driver who is comfortable doing drop-off/pick-up at school.

Job Synopsis: Additional duties for this position include keeping the kitchen, dining area, children’s rooms, living room, and play area clean. The schedule for this role is Monday – Friday with the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please have the flexibility to stay for later hours if needed and open to schedule shifting with notice. This role is paying $25-$35/hour gross plus overtime rates with 2 weeks vacation and sick days. Please be passport-ready for potential travel up to 2 weeks, as the family loves to travel internationally to Italy and France, as well as weekend get-a-ways to Santa Barbra and nearby destinations. Occasional overnights may be required.

COVID requirements: Please be taking COVID extremely seriously, wearing a mask in public, and following all CDC guidelines. The family is requesting a nanny who is fully vaccinated: MMR, Tdap, annual flu, and COVID-19.
