Mar Vista: Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant *Position Filled*

Family Syllabus: A wonderful family of four located near Mar Vista is looking for a dependable and proactive nanny/role model for their two children, ages 5 and 2.5. Their son and daughter are both adventurous, active, and curious. They love imaginative play and outdoor adventures. Their son is very curious, has a great memory, loves to be creative with legos, and loves to cook. He is a sweet, sensitive, and loving little boy. Their daughter is a firecracker, determined, and has excellent communication skills. The children are in school until 2:30 pm and both parents are currently working from home. They would love a nanny who can grow long-term with their family for a few years.

Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate is kindhearted, considerate, and able to jump right in wherever needed. A nanny who is great at engaging and interacting with children while incorporating learning is ideal. Their son loves to play legos, so a nanny who is imaginative and can build rocket ships and castles would be amazing! They are looking for a nanny/family assistant, someone that has excellent communication skills, is able to multitask, be highly organized, firm but loving, and trustworthy! Candidates that are highly dependable, proactive, and are open to assisting the family with running errands and personal tasks will thrive in this role! Someone who can maintain the family’s schedule and help to continue teaching the children to have good manners and help them to keep their toys organized and cleaned up when not in use. Being a safe and reliable driver is a must and a nanny vehicle will be provided. A college degree is preferred but not required.

Job Synopsis: Additional duties include children’s laundry, light housekeeping pertaining to the children such as keeping the playroom tidy and cleaning up the kitchen after the children’s meals. The candidate would be responsible for occasional errands using a car provided by the family. No travel or overnights would be required at this time. The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm, with the flexibility of the start and end times. School ends in July, so they would like a nanny who is open to being full-time during the month of August. The rate is $25-35/hour gross with paid sick days and 1 week of paid vacation.

COVID requirements:  Please be taking COVID seriously, wearing a mask in public, and following all CDC guidelines. The parents are vaccinated and they are requiring a nanny who is vaccinated or willing to get the COVID vaccine.
