As a nanny, it is important to “sweat the small stuff.” By this we mean, be detail oriented. Pick up at the end of the day and leave the home looking nice and more organized than when you arrived. Organize the children’s backpacks, meals and menus. Create inventory lists and anticipate the family’s needs whenever possible. As a nanny, your job is not only to provide the best care for the children, but to also “sweat the small stuff” so the parents don’t always have to!
