Family Syllabus: This wonderful family in Newport Beach is looking for a full-time Family Assistant for their two children! They have an 11-year-old daughter who is homeschooled, and an 8-year-old daughter who attends school nearby. Both girls are in multiple after-school activities. They are both active with their school work and extracurricular activities, and they enjoy baking and cooking when time allows. Dad works outside the home, and while Mom is technically retired, she is on multiple boards, which keep her busy working inside and outside the home. She has also taken on the role of homeschooling her daughter, and she is a true superstar. The family has two Shar Pei dogs, so please be comfortable with dogs. They have a weekly housekeeper to handle all of the deep cleaning, including cleaning and doing the laundry.

The ideal candidate is patient and has experience working with neurodivergent children. They use reward systems to help with daily tasks and expectations. Someone who is an energetic multitasker who can read the room, stepping in to take charge when needed and blending into the background when it’s time for family moments would fit right in. A passion for organization and efficiency will shine here, creating systems, streamlining routines, and ensuring the home runs smoothly will be your superpower. Mom would love an assistant who is experienced in supporting events and communicating with vendors. This position involves a variety of household and family support tasks, including running errands, planning weekly menus, grocery shopping, meal prep, light tidying, dishes, and putting the laundry away. The girls enjoy simple meals, and one of their daughters is a vegetarian who loves smoothies, pasta, and plant-based nuggets. Their youngest daughter is quick to roll up her sleeves and lend a helping hand!
A major part of this role will be supporting the children, transporting them from school to their many extracurricular activities. A clean driving record and confidence behind the wheel are essential. Job Synopsis: A typical day will include grocery shopping, meal prep, picking up their younger daughter from school, taking the girls to their after-school activities, prepping snacks, cooking dinner, and cleaning up afterward. Other duties will include family errands, tidying, and creating organized spaces within the home. Please enjoy preparing simple weekly menus and preparing healthy meals for the entire family! The schedule for this position is Monday/Tuesday, 12 pm-8 pm, Wednesday/Thursday, 10 am – 6 pm, and Friday’s 9 am – 5 pm, with flexibility to stay later on occasion. This role is paying $45/hour gross with two weeks of paid vacation, holidays and sick time. The family has a big family event on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and they would like the family assistant to work, but it is not a deal breaker if you are not able to attend these events. Overnights and travel may occasionally be required to their second home in Palm Springs. A clean driving record is required, and a nanny vehicle will be provided during working hours. This family is open to a nationwide search, and they are willing to relocate the candidate who is the best match!
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is vaccinated for MMR and Tdap, or is willing to receive them.
