Family Syllabus: This wonderful family of four in Larchmont, New York is looking for a nanny to help care for their boy/girl twin 11-year-olds. Their children are creative and active. One of the twins is hearing and one is deaf. They are hoping for a proactive, educated go-getter who is either deaf or ASL fluent and can interact and bond with both children. They would like a nanny who can hit the ground running and help with child-related tasks, household errands, and occasional dog care. The children are in school and have various activities after school and on the weekends. The dad works from outside of the home and the mom is a stay-at-home mom who needs a true team player to support their needs.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is super flexible, proactive, excellent at organization, and has a passion for teaching. A nanny with a can-do attitude, who is energetic and observant would be perfect for this family. They would love to find a nanny who is fluent in ASL and can truly bond and communicate with both children. If you are a natural-born leader who loves to be one step ahead, you’d work great with this family! A nanny who is firm but loving with boundaries and encourages the children to be present in their day-to-day activities is ideal. They would love to have a proactive nanny to stay with their family for the long haul! A college degree is required for this position.
Job Synopsis: This active family needs a positive and intelligent planner who can take charge of their household organization while at the same time, helping care for their children and keeping them on track academically. Duties related to this position will include assisting the children with homework and school projects, picking the children up from school, taking the children to their after school activities, stocking the pantry, food prep, cleaning the children’s play areas, taking care of the children’s laundry, picking up the dry cleaning, and other household errands. The schedule for this position is still being discussed, but will likely be Saturday through Wednesday, with longer days on the weekend. They are open to a nanny who may need flexibility to have 1 or 2 weekends off per month and they are flexible with which weekdays the nanny is working for the right fit. The pay for this role is $40-$45/hour gross, with a guarantee of 40 hours, paid vacation, and holidays. Please be ready to travel with the family. They are open to providing relocation assistance for the right fit!
