Family Syllabus: A lovely, discreet, and hard-working family located in New York is seeking a highly educated, organized, and confident weekend nanny. This lovely family of four is a repeat client and is looking for candidates with the ultimate team player mentality, as this is a fully staffed home with five other household employees. Reliability, a positive outlook, and open-mindedness will be required for this position. The family has a very intelligent 5 year old son and a sweet and adventurous 3.5 year old daughter. The nanny will be responsible for transporting the children to and from activities and being a helpful role model. Ideal Candidate: Their ideal candidate is a nanny with a Master’s Degree in Human Development, Child Development, OT, or Speech, who is highly confident in their childcare abilities. A nanny that is currently studying for their PhD at an elite school like Columbia or NYU in the previously mentioned subjects, would be the perfect candidate for this family. A nanny with experience working with children or other professionals in OT, PT, and speech are preferred. A nanny that has a go-getter attitude is highly reliable, and is proactive will thrive in this role. Their dream nanny has a team player mentality, a positive attitude, is polite and is an excellent communicator. Nannies that understand the importance of keeping children stimulated, enjoy imaginative play, and are extremely engaging will be required. They are seeking someone that is nurturing, patient, loving, and has gentleness when it comes to children. Nannies that have a deep understanding of age appropriate milestones and development, can provide parental education and support, and are creative would be amazing. Candidates who are safe drivers are important to the family. Flexibility and a team player mentality are definitely key for this role! A master’s degree or a nanny currently pursuing their PhD or Masters degree is required for this position.
Job Synopsis: Spend your days engaging with two curious children constantly seeking adventure. Job duties will include ensuring the childrens’ area is tidy, taking the children to their weekend activities, as well as planning, researching, and reserving things for the family would be appreciated. The family would love a nanny who can plan creative activities with and for their children. The schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday, 10 am-6/7 pm. They are open to work shorter 4 hour days or one day only if needed. The family is very flexible and will work with the nanny to find the best schedule. The pay for this role is $45+/hour gross. Flexibility for occasional overnights and travel are required. A valid driver’s license is required.
