Family Syllabus: This entrepreneurial family of three, soon to be four, in San Francisco is looking for a local, caring, and professional NCS to join their family! Their firstborn is a loving and curious toddler, and they are expecting baby number two to arrive at the end of January 2026. The parents are super direct go-getters who work best with intelligent professionals who truly show up to work each day ready to work and do not blur the lines between personal and professional boundaries.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and experienced Newborn Care Specialist with a strong background in safe sleep practices. The ideal candidate will offer thoughtful guidance and full support to the parents during the early months, helping them navigate this important transition from being a family with one child to two children. Responsibilities include detailed tracking of feedings, bottle feeding, sleep schedules, diaper changes, and behavioral observations, along with clear and consistent communication with the parents. They are seeking a mature, educated, responsible, and emotionally intelligent professional who is organized and deeply knowledgeable about newborn care. A true expert in infant development and routines, the NCS will play a key role in establishing healthy sleep and feeding habits. The family is open to candidates who reside outside of San Francisco, but you will need to provide your own housing.
Job Synopsis: Responsibilities for this nurturing role include gently guiding and educating the parents, while thoughtfully tracking the baby’s feedings, sleep routines, diaper changes, and any behavior shifts. Open, supportive communication with the parents is essential. Additional tasks include caring for the baby’s laundry, keeping bottles and feeding supplies sanitized, and maintaining a clean, cozy, and organized sleep space for the baby. This will be a three-month contract with an ideal schedule of 4 pm- 7 am, 7 days per week, and they are flexible with the hours. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $55 to $65/hour, depending on experience and certifications.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting an NCS who is vaccinated for MMR and Tdap.

Qualifications:
Local to San Francisco
At least three years of professional newborn care experience
CPR/first aid certification
TrustLine certified
Excellent verifiable references
