LAKE FOREST | NCS | NURTURING
Are you an experienced and calm Newborn Care Specialist looking for a position starting at the end of March in Lake Forest, CA? Do families describe you as kind, calm, and knowledgeable? Are you excited to work in a collaborative environment? If you’re thinking, “That sounds like me!” we’d love to hear from you!
Family Syllabus: This warm family is getting ready to welcome baby number two and is looking for an experienced NCS to join their care team. They value kindness, expertise, collaboration, and a peaceful presence in the home. They also have a four-year-old who is curious, engaging, and an important part of the family dynamic, so a candidate who genuinely enjoys being around inquisitive older siblings will be a wonderful fit. No care will be needed for their oldest child, and they want focus to be entirely on baby and mama.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal NCS is a seasoned newborn professional with a strong understanding of newborn development, safe sleep, feeding support, and healthy newborn rhythms. This family is looking for someone calm yet confident in their expertise, while remaining warm, communicative, and respectful of the parents’ preferences. The family used a Snoo with their previous child and may request to use it again, but they are open to the NCS’s preferences. They prefer a true newborn expert who enjoys partnering with parents and sharing knowledge in a supportive, approachable way, which will be highly valued. Organization, professionalism, and a genuine passion for newborn care are essential!
Job Synopsis: This role will focus on providing exceptional overnight newborn care while creating a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for the baby. Responsibilities will include supporting nighttime feedings, soothing and settling the baby, encouraging healthy sleep and feeding rhythms, and keeping the nursery clean, tidy, and organized. Light newborn-related household tasks will include baby laundry and light laundry for mom, washing and sanitizing bottles, maintaining the diaper pail, and keeping baby’s spaces organized. The mother would especially appreciate an NCS who is thoughtful about her needs and happy to bring her snacks while she is nursing. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 8 pm to 8 am, for four months. The rate is from $60 to $70 per hour, depending on experience. If you’re a warm, knowledgeable NCS who brings calm overnight energy, and loves newborns, enjoys collaborating with parents, and takes pride in making those early months feel a little easier, this could be a wonderful opportunity!
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting an NCS who is vaccinated with standard immunizations, including Tdap and MMR, and open to receiving a flu shot and COVID booster if requested.
Roll Call: This amazing position runs from the end of March for 4 months until the end of July.
Qualifications:
5 years of professional NCS experience
CPR/first aid certification
TrustLine certified
