Family Syllabus: This wonderful family in North Hollywood is looking for a part-time Family Assistant to help with their two children! They have an 8.5-year-old son who is currently part of a travel soccer team and loves a good game of 1v1. Their almost 7-year-old daughter has a few local classes she attends after school each week! The children attend school during the weekdays, and both parents work from inside the home. They also have a bi-weekly housekeeper to handle all of the deep cleaning. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to nurture their passions and share in their growth while keeping them on schedule and set up for success.
Ideal Candidate: This family is seeking a down-to-earth, proactive, and highly capable part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their two children and support the smooth running of their household. The ideal candidate will bring experience, education, and a positive, can-do attitude to the role. Someone who can help keep their children’s screen time to a minimum would be a dream!
Responsibilities include preparing a simple weekly menu, grocery shopping, meal preparation (including packing lunches for the children and preparing family dinners), light tidying, dishwashing, and managing the children’s laundry. A key component of this position is supporting the children with homework and school projects, as well as driving them to and from school and extracurricular activities. A safe, reliable vehicle, an excellent driving record, and confidence navigating Los Angeles are essential.
The family values someone who takes initiative in maintaining household organization and setting up efficient systems to keep things running smoothly. Collaboration with the parents is key, along with dependability, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic family schedule. Candidates with proven experience managing school logistics, household coordination, and family support will thrive in this rewarding role.
Job Synopsis: A typical day with this family will include grocery shopping, meal prep, picking up the children from school, helping with homework, prepping snacks, cooking dinner, and cleaning up afterward. Other duties may include family errands, tidying, organizing, and taking the children to after-school activities or appointments. Please enjoy preparing simple, healthy meals for the entire family! The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm-7 pm, with flexibility to stay later on occasion. This role is paying $40-45/hour gross with two weeks of paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid federal holidays. Overnights may occasionally be required. A clean driving record and a reliable and safe vehicle are required for this role.
Vaccination Requirements: The family requires a nanny who is vaccinated.
