Family Syllabus: A lovely family in Pacific Palisades is looking for a private, experienced chef to join their household team. The family is looking for a private chef to cook dinner for them for three nights per week, Monday-Thursday. The family would love a chef who enjoys cooking a variety of authentic world ethnic cuisines with a talent for authentic Asian flavors. Their favorite flavors include Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and other farm-to-table healthy meals.
Ideal Candidate: The family’s ideal candidate is an accomplished private chef who is passionate about creating exceptional meals while fostering a warm, collaborative relationship with the family. The ideal chef is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a dynamic household. The family also appreciates a chef who is happy to recreate favorite family recipes while introducing new, healthy, and creative dishes that everyone, including the children, will enjoy. A strong understanding of cooking techniques, nutrition, and the science behind food preparation is highly valued. Above all, the family is looking for a kind, easygoing professional who genuinely enjoys cooking for children, takes pride in creating memorable family meals, and is excited to become a trusted and valued part of their household.
Job Synopsis: The schedule for this exceptional opportunity offers flexibility and can be tailored to the right candidate. The family is ideally seeking support three afternoons per week, generally between 2-6 pm, with dinner served to the children at 5:00 pm. Beyond preparing delicious, nutritious meals, the family is looking for someone who enjoys the full culinary process, including thoughtful menu planning, grocery shopping, sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients, and meal preparation. There is flexibility to schedule dedicated time outside of the afternoon hours for shopping, prep work, and kitchen organization, allowing the chef to work efficiently while maintaining the highest standard of service.
This is an incredible opportunity for a chef who is passionate about creating wholesome, family-focused cuisine and values building a long-term relationship with a warm and appreciative household. The family is seeking someone who takes pride in crafting beautiful, balanced meals that children genuinely enjoy while introducing new flavors and healthy ingredients in a thoughtful, creative way. Compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $75 to $150 per hour gross, depending on experience, culinary expertise, and the level of service provided.
Vaccine Requirements: The family is only considering chefs who are vaccinated with Tdap, MMR, COVID, and the annual FLU vaccination.

Qualifications:
At least five years of professional chef experience
One year of private household experience
Excellent and verifiable references
Clean reliable vehicle
