Family Syllabus: A wonderful family in Pasadena is seeking a creative and experienced nanny to join their home to help care for their sweet three-year-old son. He is a bright and articulate toddler who loves to engage in imaginative and dramatic play. A candidate who smiles with their heart, is intuitive and has experience working with preschool aged children would be ideal. The family will also be expecting their second child due May 2021. Both parents are currently working from home due to COVID-19. Their son is attending school nearby within walking distance Monday-Friday from 8:45am-12:45pm
Ideal Candidate: The perfect candidate for this position will be entertaining, energetic and genuinely loves to play and engage with their children, but also understands professional boundaries. Someone who has interest in supporting the RIE philosophy as the family loosely subscribes to this method. They would love a nanny who feels comfortable taking care of two children once their new baby is an infant. Someone who is positive, helpful and enjoys being active by taking walks and scooter rides in their lovely neighborhood and playing outside in the family’s beautiful outdoor space. A nanny who can swim is a must as the family has a swimming pool. No overnights or traveling will be required at this time.
Job Synopsis: The family would love for someone to help out with light household duties pertaining to the children such as cleaning and organizing the playroom, preparing healthy meals, and assisting with children’s laundry and dishes. They also have a housekeeper working inside the home. The schedule can be part-time or full-time. Hours are Monday-Friday from 12:45/1 to about 5/6 pm OR Monday-Friday 8/9 am to 5/6 pm with flexibility for date nights. The minimum hours the family requests is 30-35 hours per week, flexibility is key! The hourly rate is $25-27/hour gross, with 2 weeks paid vacation; one to be used during Christmas or New Years and sick days. The nanny must have a clean, reliable vehicle. A college degree is preferred, but not required.
Covid Requirements: The nanny must be taking COVID precautions seriously and following all CDC guidelines. All candidates must be willing to get the Covid vaccine. The family may require MMR, Tdap, and flu shot.
Roll Call: This amazing job starts at the end of March or early April.
Qualifications:
Three years of professional nanny experience
CPR/first aid certification
