A dynamic and warm family in Santa Monica is seeking a dignified and collaborative career nanny to join their busy household and care for their two children, ages 4 and 1! The ideal candidate for this position will be kindhearted, methodical, and understand the RIE philosophy. Candidates will be required to speak ONLY Spanish to the children, have a deep understanding of early childhood development, and children’s milestones is required. If you have read The Whole-Brain child you will be aligned with this family.
A nanny that has a go-getting approach to help their beautiful home run smoothly will be necessary! The family is seeking out someone who has great cooking abilities and is able to prepare healthy pescatarian dishes. This is a fully-staffed non-meat and non-dairy household. Implementing creative activities throughout the day such as arts and crafts, dramatic play, and outdoor activities is required. Nannies that are active and healthy, organized, and open to personal assisting tasks are encouraged to apply!
The family would like help with tasks such as children’s laundry/organization, keeping the nursery and rooms tidy, emptying diapers, help with taking out garbage and boxes, keeping the kitchen/dishes/hand towels clean & organized, putting groceries away, running basic errands, ordering groceries, and handling mail and packages. Please be comfortable around pets, as the family has a beloved 12-year-old dog that the family would like help occasionally feeding. The family also has a second gorgeous home in Tahoe that they travel to for up to 2 weeks and they would like the nanny to join them. They fly commercial and private domestically.
The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 6:30 pm. This is a full-time position, but flexibility in your schedule would be great. The nanny must have a reliable vehicle and be able to swim. The family is offering $30-35/hour gross with overtime, plus paid vacation, sick days, holidays and $300 per month health stipend. They are also happy to pay for continuing education for the nanny. This amazing opportunity starts on September 15.
