Family Syllabus: This incredibly loving family of five in Sherman Oaks is looking for a part-time nanny who is open to helping with family assistant duties! They have three wonderful children, two girls who are 8.5 (3rd grade) and 6.5 years old (1st grade), and a 2-year-old boy! The girls love gymnastics, climbing trees, singing and dancing, as well as arts and crafts. All three children attend school and daycare during the day. Their middle child has an IEP and may need some support with math. Both parents work from inside and outside of the home and they also have one elderly dog who will most likely be napping the afternoon away while the nanny is there. Most of the care will be for the two older girls until September.
Ideal Candidate: This family’s ideal nanny is extremely patient and experienced working in a home with multiple children. Please be kind yet firm and be able to communicate clearly with the children and set good boundaries. Candidates who are familiar with child development for toddlers and elementary-aged children would fit in perfectly with this role. A bonus if you are musically included, Please be a positive role model with a team player mentality and a safe driver! Please have a reliable vehicle to use while working. The family will reimburse mileage.
Job Synopsis: Duties for this position will include tidying the children’s areas, keeping up with their laundry, preparing healthy snacks and meals, packing lunches, grocery shopping, transporting children, and running errands as needed for the family. The schedule for this position will likely be Monday-Friday from 1:30 pm-6:30 pm with flexibility for date nights. The family will guarantee 25 hours per week and more hours if the nanny can be flexible to work evenings for date nights and weekends. The role is paying $35-40/hour gross with 2 weeks of paid time off, 48 hours of paid sick time, and paid holidays. Overnights and travel will not be required.
Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is fully COVID vaccinated and boosted.
