Silver Lake: Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant *Position Filled*

Family Syllabus: A loving family of 3, located in Silver Lake, is seeking an experienced career nanny/family assistant to help care for their 10-month-old daughter and support their family. Their daughter is inquisitive, upbeat, happy, and loves to be outside! Both parents are professionals who work hybrid from home/outside of the home with fast-paced, but flexible schedules. They are excited to work alongside a nanny who is well-versed in early childhood development and is a warm and welcome team member alongside both parents. The family has one hypoallergenic poodle mix in the home so dog lovers are encouraged to apply.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has strong experience with the infant/toddler age group, is warm, loving, and creative, and has a deep understanding of children’s milestones and a background in child development. A nanny who is very organized, physically active, natural at multitasking, has excellent communication skills, has excellent judgment and discretion will be a great fit for this family! They would love someone who is extremely warm and attentive with their daughter and has a calm, mature and professional demeanor and boundaries. A nanny who enjoys taking their daughter out on walks and being extremely interactive and engaging is a must! A college degree is preferred, but not required.

Job Synopsis: The schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:00 am-4:00 pm with the occasional evening/weekend shift, flexibility is greatly appreciated! This role is paying $40/hour gross plus overtime, with 2 weeks paid vacation (one week to be taken while the family has time off), paid sick days, 12 paid holidays, and health insurance. In addition to childcare, the nanny/family assistant will be responsible for light housekeeping including general tidying, light laundry, dishes, and simple, healthy basic meal preparations for the family each day (a housekeeper comes weekly for deep cleanings). A candidate who is willing to help wherever needed including running errands, organizing the home, or handling personal assisting is essential for this role. There will be no overnights or travel required at this time, but there may be future opportunities for nannies who are interested in traveling. Ideally, the candidate would be available to house sit/pet sit occasionally.
