Are you a career nanny looking to grow with a family as a team player? Are you super flexible, organized, and passionate about child development? Do you love caring for babies? If you thought, “That’s me!” we have the position for you!
Family Syllabus: This loving entrepreneurial family of four in Venice is looking for a full-time live-in weekend nanny for their 7-year-old and 9-month-old boys! Most of the care will be for the baby, but it will also include caring for the older son at times. They also have a second nanny, an assistant, and a housekeeper, so being a team player is at the top of their nanny wish list! The parents work from inside the home and travel to NYC, Colorado, and Europe. They are extremely health-conscious, especially regarding nutrition, and care deeply about combining kindness, love, and early childhood development knowledge to cultivate social, cognitive, and emotional skills. They are loving and welcoming, as well as self-aware.
Ideal Candidate: This family’s ideal nanny is kind, loving, intelligent, patient, curious, intuitive, committed to personal self-care, and with extensive experience and developmental knowledge of caring for a child. Ideally, you have a formal early childhood education degree, deep knowledge, and expertise in infant and toddler health and cognitive development, and proficiency with communication, organization, and using technology (iPhone, text, camera app, Waze, etc). Overall, you are positive, grateful, optimistic, question before assuming, get way ahead of something that could compound or build-up, are open to learning and new ideas (despite your years of experience), you are perceptive and empathic, and the world’s cup is half-full. You are an early-morning person!
Job Synopsis: The role includes caring for the baby, maintaining all items regarding children, which includes packing, organizing, moving out what’s not used or outgrown on a regular basis and coordination around what supplies are needed, and ownership to communicating what needs to be ordered.
