Family Syllabus: A kind-hearted family of three in Beverly Grove (near West Hollywood) is seeking a nanny for their sweet, playful, observant 18-month-old son. Their son will thrive with a nanny who is tender, expressive, and engaging. Mom and dad will occasionally be working inside of the home. Please be comfortable with pets as the family has a small 10-pound hypoallergenic dog that may require occasional walks and feeding. Please note the family will be moving in the next year, but they plan to stay in West LA.
Ideal Candidate: An ideal candidate has experience working with toddlers and infants as the family is hoping for the nanny to stay long-term with them. A nanny who is receptive and willing to educate themselves to support mom and dad’s parenting philosophies is important. Someone who loves music, arts and crafts, going on walks, and enjoys trips to the park. Nannies who are detail-oriented, flexible, energetic, compassionate, and have potty training experience would be an ideal match for this family! Candidates that are proactive in terms of coming up with age-appropriate projects, activities, and crafts to keep their son engaged. Someone who can cook and prepare meals for their child and also assist with preparing simple meals for mom and dad on occasion will be a huge help. An organized candidate who is open to helping with personal assisting tasks such as keeping track of household items that need replacement and grocery shopping. A college degree is preferred, but not required. Please have a clean and reliable vehicle.
Job Synopsis: The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8:30 am-6:00 pm with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate mom and dad’s busy work schedules. This role is paying $25-$30/hour gross with 2 weeks paid vacation, 48 hours of sick pay, and a potential health insurance stipend. No travel or overnights will be required at this time. Additional duties will include light housekeeping while the toddler is napping, tidying up and sanitizing toys, children’s laundry, wiping down surfaces, keeping the kitchen clean, vacuuming children’s areas, and helping to put groceries away. The family has a housekeeper for heavy-duty cleaning.
COVID requirements: Please be taking COVID extremely seriously, wearing a mask in public, and following all CDC guidelines. The family is requesting a nanny who is fully COVID vaccinated with COVID and willing to get MMR, Tdap, flu shot.
